The community midwife runs this clinic. If you become pregnant, you will be given a ‘booking appointment’ at which the midwife will ask you a few questions, explain your care and carry out some general health checks. You will be seen regularly by appointment throughout your pregnancy either at the practice, at the local hospital, or at both.

Asthma sufferers can make an appointment for this clinic for advice and support from our practice nurses who specialise in asthma care.
By invitation or appointment with our Primary Health Care Assistants. These clinics are mostly morning surgeries (by appointment) so your sample can be transported to the Pathology Laboratory in a timely manner.

The Practice offers a full contraception service including Contraceptive Implants, Coil Fitting (IUD), Diaphragm, Pill and Injections.

Led by our nursing team, this clinic offers advice and general health check-ups to patients diagnosed with diabetes. Some members of our nursing team are trained and qualified to perform Insulin Initiation.
You can take your own blood pressure by checking your height, weight and BMI (Body Mass Index) on our waiting room machine just ask the Receptionist for a token. Alternatively you can attend a nurse run hypertensive clinic by appointment.
Some medical examinations fall outside the normal services provided under the NHS, these include Fitness to Drive, HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) , PSV (Public Service Vehicle), Taxi Driving Medical, Diving Medicals, Pre-Employment and School Medicals were an attendance will be charged.
A special appointment is required, please book through reception who will inform you of the fee chargeable.

Joint Injections can be done by our Doctors in surgery. In the first instance please discuss this with your Doctor who will then arrange for you to be given a future appointment.

As travel vaccination and advice can be complicated we ask you to fill in a Travel Information form prior to attendance, this is available from our Reception.
If a GP or another member of our health care team decide you need hospital treatment or specialist care elsewhere, they will make a referral for you to secondary care. They will ask you where and when you would like to go.
The doctor will then refer you to the consultant or Clinician of your choice or the consultant or Clinician with the shortest waiting list.
The practice will be able to book your appointment electronically from the surgery while you wait.
This is called Choose & Book.
If you would prefer to have some time to think before deciding where and when to have treatment, you will be offered the option of calling the practice later and we will be able to book your appointment then.
