Test Results
Results will only be given to the specific patient to whom they apply. In the interest of confidentiality please be prepared to identify yourself. Please do not telephone for friends or relatives as we are unable to give results without prior arrangement which may mean written consent.
Please telephone the surgery for test results between 11.00am–5.00pm. Please do not telephone before this time as priority must be given for urgent visits and appointment requests.
You will need to know the specific tests results that you require. Some tests take longer than others to process and if you have had several tests the receptionist will not necessarily know whether all the results are back unless you can identify them.
Please do not expect the reception staff to have in depth medical knowledge of the result they are instructed to tell you only the doctor’s comments. If any test result is abnormal and you require further interpretation you will be given an appointment with a clinician.
