Dr Karnuasekara's Farewell
Posted on 14 Mar 2019
Announcement from Dr Nish Karunasekara
I wish to inform you that after long and careful thought, I have made the decision to leave Stonyhill Medical Practice at the end of March 2019.
I have been extremely fortunate to work with a great team which has developed and improved tremendously over the years. I have benefitted from support from every level including reception, administrators, managers, nurses and doctors. My heartfelt thanks go to all, past and present.
However, the greatest gratitude that I feel is to the patients and their families who have allowed me the privilege of being their doctor over the years.
The time is now right for me to leave the surgery and start a new chapter in my life. General practice has presented many challenges over the years, but also many happy and rewarding times. I am grateful that I have been able to spend a large part of my career in South Shore doing a job that I love.
I leave Stonyhill Medical Practice in the very capable hands of my GP colleagues, Dr Aung, Dr Garstang, Dr Gouges, Dr Augustine, Dr Johnson, Dr Robinson, Dr Charles and the full team of nurse practitioners, pharmacists and nurses. I have every confidence that the practice will continue to grow and support the patients of South Shore in the future.
I wish you all happiness and health
Dr Nish Karunasekara
